Why I’m standing to be your Councillor

“Local people deserve to be well supported and empowered to have greater influence in our community. I think this starts with a sense of pride in our local area, with cleaner, safer streets, and less crime and antisocial behaviour. The local election provides a golden opportunity to ensure that the services provided by the council serve our community.”

Educating at Bournemouth and Poole College

As a trade union representative with extensive experience of driving regional and national policy, I’m well suited to advocate for the people of Boscombe West.

I’ve been a lecturer at Bournemouth and Poole College for almost 20 years and understand how transformative education can be for people and society.

Nurturing our young people and providing opportunities for improvement are fundamental and I’d champion this in the Council. I’m eager to see exciting projects and initiatives set up throughout the ward to engage everyone in our community, underpinned by strong local services.”

The kind of Councillor I would be
“Most importantly, as your local candidate, I’ll listen to your concerns, respond and endeavour to make the kind of change Boscombe has long needed. Together, we can build a better Bournemouth.”
