The next General Meeting of the party will be held on Thursday 26th January at the Unite union office on Holdenhurst Road, starting at 7.30pm.

On Tuesday 14th February the Southampton Fabian Society will be hosting their annual lecture,  which Bournemouth members will be welcome, at the Southampton Solent University Conference Centre.

The lecture will be given by Lord Maurice Glasman on the subject "What Next for Labour", and will start at 8pm, with refreshments and the opportunity for informal conversations with Lord Glasman running from 7.30pm.  The evening will close at 9.30pm.

Attendance is free, but you are asked to register your intention to attend by emailing labourneighbour@yahoo.co.uk, or calling 023 8063 9577, as places in the lecture hall are limited to a maximum of 150 people.  For more details, including travel advice and information about Lord Glasman, please download the flyer by clicking here (Word).

The Bournemouth Fabian Society, founded in 1892, has a series of events coming up with exciting speakers, including MPs.  For more information, please click here.  The next event will be an "Any Questions" event on 27th January with a panel comprising a variety of local Labour figures, before we "Co-operative Values in Today's Society" on 24th February.  Both events will, as ever, be held at the Friends Meeting House in Boscombe on Friday 24 February.  For more details, download the respective flyers by clicking here and here (both in pdf format).
